THE SMART program is  a program for promoting Sustainability and Art

Children are provided with an individualised program that focuses on the development of their unique needs. They are encouraged to develop independence as they explore, participate, engage in their environment, and connect to their world using sustainable practices in the area of water, biodiversity, energy and waste. They are shown how to engage in real-life learning experiences that develop increased practical and social skills giving them recognition for their participation.

This differentiated curriculum is provided to enable children to have access to all activities.

  • Activities are provided in a variety of ways using a sensory mystery bag, picture cards, video clips and  large colourful photos

  • Concepts are explored through sensory experiences, hands on activities, discussions, role-play or movement activities and audio/visuals.

ES Staff engage the children using Auslan to explain and interact with all hands-on activities
