In 2016, Aurora School Community Kindergarten received some very exciting news. Our Community Kindergarten was nominated for the Early Years Awards, an initiative by the Department of Education (DET) We were shortlised as finalists in the award category of Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning.

The Victoria Early Years Awards recognise leadership, outstanding achievment, exceptional dedication and innovation in improving outcomes for children from birth to eight years and their families. 

​

The awards celebrate exceptional initiatives and early childhood teachers who are committed to giving children the best start in life by strengthening the services delivered to parents and children.

​

Early childhood development is at  the heart of the Victorian Governments vision  for the Education State, and the Victorian Early Years awards are an opportunity to recognise services that are leading the way to achieving this important goal.
